Measuring die distortions in a die-casting machine
Distortion and displacement of a die caused by its own weight or faulty mounting is prevented. A small and thin sensor head makes high-accuracy measurement possible even in a narrow gap in equipment.
The distance between the upper die and lower die is measured upon press stamping to detect infinitesimal changes of the bottom dead center caused by residue.
When a workpiece is chucked, particles are sometimes trapped between the workpiece and chuck, resulting in deflection of the workpiece. Such deflection is detected on a non-contact basis.
